Okemos Metal Roof Installation

What actually happens during a metal roof installation? More prep than a shingle job, and that is the point. We start by measuring every plane of the roof, since panels are custom cut to length. Old material comes off and the deck gets inspected before anything new goes down. Underlayment rated for high temperatures goes on first, then panels are set and fastened. Standing seam systems hide the fasteners under the seam, which is why they last so long. Trim, ridge caps, and flashing details take the most time and matter the most. Armored has been installing metal across mid-Michigan since 2020. Panel color and profile get picked before we order. Lead times run a few weeks on custom work. Snow slides off panels instead of packing up at the eaves. Gutters get checked while we are up there. Warranty coverage and financing are both part of the conversation.

Reputable Roofing Company Serving Okemos

How do you find someone who installs metal well? Ask the roofing company how many they finish in a season and who trains their crews. Metal is unforgiving, since one mistake in the flashing shows up later as a leak. Our installers are factory trained, and our GAF Master Elite standing reflects that commitment to certification. If your budget points elsewhere this year, a standard roof replacement is still a solid answer. Metal roofing simply moves the replacement date decades further out. We quote both without steering you toward the bigger ticket. Ask us what we would put on our own houses. References are easy for us to provide. Ask to see a job we finished nearby. A metal roof is a long term choice. Plan on it outlasting your mortgage.
